Augmented Reality Public Art Experience

FABLE, an augmented reality (AR) public art experience engages users with Albany Bulb, public art space in California. The experience guides the user through an AR exploration of physical art within the park.

FABLE’s AR app encourages users to explore and unlock digital avatars and animations relating to physical artwork, as well as the ability to build upon the digital artwork providing an enhanced interactive experience and the creation of shared digital and physical artwork.

This user participation experience seeks to perpetuate the foundation and practice of found art in Albany Bulb, where artists often utilize materials found within the environment to create their artwork.

    Explore & interact with FABLE’s fantastical animated native California creatures.

    Create unique AR digital creatures based on the physical surroundings and artwork.

  • Contribute

    Visitors may contribute their unique digital assets to the FABLE app for future park visitors.
